There Is A Coming Kingdom – Dr. Mike Spaulding

We are seeing in our day, a rise in Christian radicalism. Specifically, I see some Christians calling for an armed rebellion to squash the evildoers in our midst. I see it because at one time, I was of the same opinion. I no longer hold the view that the Church of Jesus Christ is to take on the Deep State, the Council on Foreign Relations, the World Economic Forum, the World Health Organization, or the United Nations, to name a few.

The commission the Church has been given is to tell the world about the free gift of salvation God the Father has made available to “whosoever will” believe in Jesus the Christ. It is our solemn duty and honor to expose the workings of the kingdom of darkness. We must exercise all spiritual authority in Christ to persuade the hearts of men and women toward Him. But make no mistake, it is the work of the Holy Spirit which causes the new birth.

It Is Time For A Niemolleresque Redux – Dr. Mike Spaulding

‘I had to tell him, “Dear brother, fellow man, Jew, before you say anything, I say to you: I acknowledge my guilt and beg you to forgive me and my people for this sin.'”

Martin Niemoller sermon in Erlangen, Germany 1946

Poetry often succinctly captures a moment of time, sometimes an era. The words of a poet can move the heart in ways other literature cannot. Great poets are remembered, and their writing spoken of and written about for long years, decades and centuries afterward. Sometimes poetry is a commentary on culture, pointing out deficiencies and moral failures. Are we at that place where moral failures are dismissed, and the courage of our convictions have withered before the heat of adversity?

Philosopher George Santayana famously said, “Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it.” It is nearly universally understood today that Santayana’s statement was meant to be a warning to all freedom loving people that we must never allow the moral failures and outrageous behaviors of treasonous, treacherous, evil people to be repeated in our time. Since we lived through atrocities of the past, it is our duty to not allow the same atrocities to overtake us again. Yet that is exactly where we find ourselves today. Let me explain.

Fake Israel? Fake Jews? The Poison Pill of Conspiracy

I received another email recently from someone claiming that current Israel is not biblical Israel. The writer further stated that the people we call the Jews today are not Jews at all. The typical rant ensued about the wickedness of modern Israel, Zionism, the Mossad, and the Ashkenazi Jews who control the world. Normally embedded in the rant is some expletive about Israel controlling America.

I receive these types of emails berating me for being so naïve, blind, deceived, and several other things I can’t print, all because I support the modern state of Israel and its right to exist in her land without constant threat of terrorism.

The Absurdity of the Two State Solution Crowd – Dr. Mike Spaulding

Asking why we continue to see and read of the hatred and vitriolic rants against the nation of Israel often sounds like a “broken record.” I have surmised that we will continue to hear and see the incessant spewing of Antisemitism because those expressing these views are short on reason, rational thinking, and logical, analytical deduction skills. This is not meant as an insult. This is observably true. What else can possibly explain the lack of comprehension among so many?

The Love of Many Has Grown Cold – Dr. Mike Spaulding

Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.

Matthew 24:12 NASB

The context of Matthew 24:12 is Jesus speaking to His disciples after leaving Jerusalem during His Passion Week. He had sparred with the religious leaders several times in the preceding days. As He and his disciples left Jerusalem that day, Jesus responded to some of the disciples’ comments about the beauty of the Temple complex. He said that what they thought beautiful would be destroyed one day. This led to some of His disciples asking when that time would come. Jesus then described the things that would be prominent during the time right before His Second Coming.

The timing of this verse in Matthew’s Gospel is generally accepted as being during the time of the Tribulation.[1] This is thought to be the case because Matthew 24:9 mentions “Then they will deliver you to tribulation…” Following that, verses 9-11 describe a falling away from the faith, betrayal, and hatred arising among the brethren to the extent that many will be misled by false prophets apparently suggesting that their betrayal, hatred, and callousness toward the brethren is warranted. Verse 12 describes the fading love of many. Some scholars see this entire passage as part of the period Jesus called “birth pangs” prior to the Tribulation (Matthew 24:8). Regardless of the timing of this worldwide event, I see this very behavior spreading across the world today and especially in American Christianity.
