Thanksgiving Proclamations by Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Lincoln, Roosevelt, & others – American Minute with Bill Federer

During the days of America’s founding, colonies would declare:
  • days of prayer when times were bad;
  • days of fasting when times were real bad; and
  • days of thanksgiving when things turned around.
This developed into many colonies, like New Hampshire and Massachusetts, having annual days of fasting, often on Good Friday.

This is evidence that colonists were not “deists” who believed God set the laws of nature in place and then let everything run on its own.

America’s founders believed in a living relationship with God where:

  • if people sinned, He would call them to repent;
  • if they did not repent, He would sent judgment; and
  • then when they repented and believed, He would send deliverance, health, and blessings.

Pagan Determinism and Christianity Part 1 – Augustine’s Gnostic Influence

I have been teaching through the book of Ephesians recently. It has been a rich and satisfying study. One of the primary things I have discovered in researching and writing on Ephesians 2 is the role that Augustine (354-430) played in undermining orthodox Christian theology concerning the place of free will. He did this by mixing Gnostic determinism with his Christian theology. The result has been devastating as will be shown in this series of posts.

In Ephesians 2 Paul takes back up the subject of what Yahweh has done for us in Christ that he began earlier in this letter, and the result of Jesus’ willing sacrifice for us on Calvary. In returning to the subject of believers, Paul starts at the beginning in verse 1. He says rightly, that “you were dead in your trespasses and sins.” The KJV reads, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;” “hath he quickened” is in italics to indicate those words are not found in the majority text from which the KJV translators worked and were added to the text by the translators. Unfortunately, this addition has created a problem for us today.

The Family Bloodline That Orchestrated the Explosion of Homosexuality, Lesbianism and Pedophilia in America

This is a brief exposé on the history of progressive politics and how it has infiltrated the Church. Readers will be well served to investigate the history of the Church and the relationship between it and the US Federal Government, the wealthy foundations, and Marxist Communism over the last one hundred years.

It is clear that tax exempt, private, and largely unaccountable foundations and the US Federal Government have worked together tirelessly to destroy the Judeo–Christian foundation upon which this nation was built and by which this nation was a light to the world in so many positive ways. Part of their joint plan was to infiltrate and utilize the Church as a primary cultural change agent. This subject needs to be more fully studied, written about, and discussed among Christians.

Progressive Marxism, Tammany Hall, Saul Alinsky, and DEI – The Creation of True Systemic Racism

American government, which is to say, American politics has become a convoluted mess of near opaqueness. This condition has been intentionally constructed to distract and disorient the casual observer. The more serious individual given to a thirst for truth will find the veneer frustrating but the treasure of seeing clearly achieved through perseverance, well worth the effort.

To unravel the quagmire that has become American politics, one must refresh their understanding of history. Philosopher George Santayana once wrote, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” For our concern in this article, a more apt quote from Santayana might well be, “A country without a memory is a country of madmen.” Indeed, America has become a country of madmen and women. Irrational and illogical beliefs rule the day and are foisted upon sane people through the threat of lawfare – refuse to use the pronoun of choice for any number of delusional people and you could find yourself unemployed. Or refer to someone as a she when they claim to be non-binary; or refuse to accept that gender is a social construct. Or reject the idiocy that men can have babies. The question on millions of American’s lips is this: “How did we ever get to this place where good is evil and evil is good? How has darkness been substituted for light and light for darkness; bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter?” (Isaiah 5:20)
